Sue ~ A Good Fortune

I grew up in Allentown but never ventured into Easton. I left the Lehigh Valley after high school, going to college and winding up in NYC. It was there that I answered an ad my husband he placed in a newspaper. Our first date was Chinese food in a Queens, NY park. The fortune cookie said, “A newspaper ad will soon affect your life.” Six months later, we were engaged. While searching for a place to get hitched, we discovered the Hotel Easton. We tied the knot inside that hotel, steps from the free bridge. Little did we know, two years later, we would move to Easton and raise our kids in this great town. We have been here for 34 years and counting.
